What is the Teen Advisory Council?

The Teen Advisory Council (TAC) is a small group of teens ages 13–19 who help shape what Sweet Tea & Chai Society does. We don't do things for teens. We do them with teens. That's what TAC is—your voice, your ideas, your feedback making sure the programs actually work for people like you.

What Do TAC Members Do?

• Give feedback on event ideas and suggest new experiences.

• Help design activities and conversations that feel real, not cheesy.

• Identify what barriers keep teens from showing up (and how to fix them).

• Help recruit other teens and spread the word.

• Advise on how we talk about the program (language, tone, social media).

 

Time Commitment

 

1 meeting per month (60–75 minutes). Optional involvement in event planning subgroups. That's it.

 

Who Can Apply?

• Ages 13–19​

• You like sharing ideas and want your voice heard

• You care about community, connection, or mental health

• No experience needed. No "qualifications" required.

 

Term

 

Members are expected to attend at least 4 of 6 monthly meetings. You're free to step away anytime if it's not the right fit for you.

 

Why TAC Matters

 

TAC is the most important part of STACS. We're not guessing what teens want. We're asking. We're listening. Nothing happens here without your input.
